These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and BuiltByInk, the operator of TierSync ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using TierSync at tiersync.app (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
TierSync is a software-as-a-service platform that automates Discord role assignment based on Stripe subscription status. The Service allows you to:
- Connect your Discord bot and Stripe account
- Configure automatic role assignment for paying subscribers
- Manage subscription-based access to Discord servers
- Process payments and webhooks through Stripe integration
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts to use TierSync.
To use TierSync, you must:
- Create an account with a valid email address
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Ensuring your Discord bot tokens and Stripe credentials remain secure
TierSync offers monthly subscription plans:
- Starter Plan: Basic Discord role automation
- Growth Plan: Enhanced features for growing communities
- Scale Plan: Advanced features for high-volume operations
Pricing and features are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
New users may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. During the trial period:
- Full access to selected plan features is provided
- No payment is required during the trial
- Automatic billing begins after the trial period ends
- You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
- Payment Processor: All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- Payment Methods: Accepted payment methods are determined by Stripe
- Failed Payments: Access may be suspended if payment fails; you will be notified
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of new pricing.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation:
- Takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- Stops automatic renewal
- Does not provide refunds for the current billing period
- Results in loss of access at the end of the paid period
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Payment fails and remains unresolved
- You breach our Acceptable Use Policy
Upon termination:
- Your access to TierSync will cease
- Your data will be retained for 30 days, then deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- You remain responsible for all charges incurred before termination
You agree not to:
- Use TierSync for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of TierSync
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Use TierSync to harm, harass, or discriminate against others
- You are responsible for ensuring your Discord bot has appropriate permissions
- TierSync requires "Manage Roles" permission to function
- You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Developer Policy
- TierSync is not affiliated with Discord, Inc.
- You are responsible for maintaining valid Stripe account credentials
- You must comply with Stripe's Terms of Service
- Webhook endpoints must be properly configured in your Stripe dashboard
- TierSync is not affiliated with Stripe, Inc.
By authorizing TierSync via Discord OAuth, you grant us permission to:
- Access your Discord user information
- Retrieve guild (server) information
- Manage roles in servers where your bot is installed
You may revoke these permissions at any time through Discord's settings.
TierSync processes webhooks from Stripe to:
- Detect subscription status changes
- Automatically grant or revoke Discord roles
- Update subscription metadata
- Log payment events for audit purposes
Webhook data is retained for 90 days for troubleshooting and audit purposes.
TierSync, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by BuiltByInk and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of:
- Your Discord server content
- Your Stripe account data
- Content you create using TierSync
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use TierSync for your internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.
TierSync is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Immediate processing of webhooks or role changes
- Compatibility with all Discord server configurations
- Availability of third-party services (Discord, Stripe)
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party services (Discord, Stripe)
- We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or security breaches beyond our reasonable control
TierSync is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuiltByInk, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of TierSync
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your Discord bot or Stripe account activities
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be:
- Posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date
- Communicated via email for significant changes (where applicable)
- Effective 30 days after posting
Your continued use of TierSync after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BuiltByInk regarding TierSync.
